Bachelorette Party Part 2: Tutus & Lingerie

Saturday was dubbed “classic bachelorette party day”. After breakfast we were all getting ready to go to the W Scottsdale for a pool party. Christine and Steph brought out a tutu for me to wear to the pool – I was so excited! Christine had saved it from her bachelorette party for me to wear because she knew I loved it! I have a feeling many other bachelorettes will put it to good use over the next few years ๐Ÿ˜‰

All decked out in my bride gear (sunglasses, sash, pin, necklace, sweatshirt) ready for the pool!

Once again we were the only girls at the pool. There were 3 bachelor parties, but other than that it was a pretty empty, most people were probably at the golf tournament. When we arrived we had drinks waiting for us and a very attentive set of waitresses. The sun was shinning and the pool heated, so despite it only being in the low 70s it still felt like a perfect pool day ๐Ÿ™‚

At one point a 1 pound puppy started running around the deck ๐Ÿ™‚ His name was Junior and he was so friendly!

One of the bachelors was adamant that he too should have a chance to wear the tutu… he was allowed assuming he got the DJ to play some T-Swift!

After the pool party we went home, showered and then the girls threw me a lingerie shower. I don’t have any pictures from this, but I wanted to mention it in case you are planning any bachelorette parties because I think it is a great idea. Christine gave the idea to Steph because we also did it at her bachelorette. Each girl brings a piece of lingerie for the bride. The bride has to guess who it is from based on the wrapping and lingerie itself. Then as a group you name the piece of lingerie. Based off the names chosen the maid-of-honor puts together a “menu” for the groom to pick from on the honeymoon ๐Ÿ˜‰

While we were having the shower in the living room there was a chef hard at work making us dinner in the kitchen – talk about spoiled ๐Ÿ™‚ Steph hired the chef to come cook for us so we could take our time hanging out and getting ready to go out without having to rush or worry about dinner.

We had our choice of chicken or shrimp served over a saffron and roasted red pepper quinoa, topped with a jalapeรฑo, mango salsa and a side of gingered carrots. For dessert we had a Ghirardelli chocolate mousse parfait. Everything was delicious and the best part was we didn’t have to clean up! Chef Steve was very professional, I would highly recommend him if you are ever in need of catering in or around Scottsdale, his company is called Unique Luxury Catering

Once dinner was over we finished getting ready and then headed out to Dakota, another bar in Old Town. It was very crowded, but we were able to find room on the dance floor and danced until a few of us (myself included) had to leave for fear of our feet falling off – heels + excessive dancing = sore feet

Thank you to all of my girlfriends who travelled so far to make my bachelorette weekend a huge success. It wouldn’t have been the same without each and every one of you. It is a weekend I will never forget ๐Ÿ™‚
