Layla’s 1st Blizzard

Jonas hit us hard here in the DC metro area! We got somewhere between 24-30 inches and are still digging out! Schools are closed at least through tomorrow and the government and most employers are closed today due to refreezing and to allow the snow crews to continue the clean up!

This was Layla’s first experience with snow and we were very excited to see how she would like it! She has been very confused by it and can’t understand where the grass and all her sticks went! She isn’t too keen on peeing and pooping in the cold snow, which is understandable. But she is having fun hoping through the snow and climbing on snow piles! Here are some scenes from the past few days:

The snow is fun, but cold and tiring. We have also spent many hours snuggled up on the couch πŸ™‚

I hope you are staying safe and warm if you too are dealing with the aftermath of Jonas. One good thing that has come of it is that I have had a lot of time to spend experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen! They will be coming your way soon!
