Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar French Toast

Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar French Toast, a delicious breakfast made quick and easy in the air fryer! Thick slices of brioche french toast coated in sweet, buttery cinnamon sugar.

As I use my air fryer more and more I’m falling deeper in love with it. It can do so many cool things and making delicious, easy french toast is one of them! This Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar French Toast makes for an easy breakfast the whole family will love.

What type of bread should I use?

I always use the French Sliced Brioche from Trader Joe’s, it is thick, buttery and so delicious. Any high quality, thick cut brioche will work for this recipe. If you can’t get your hands on brioche you could also use thick cut french bread. The recipe works best when the bread has gone a little stale so you don’t risk it falling apart.

How to make Air Fryer French Toast

The air fryer makes it so easy! You start off by making the egg dip for the toast by combining eggs, heavy cream, vanilla and salt. Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture and allow them to absorb for at least a minute on each side. While the bread is soaking, preheat the air fryer – you do this just by turning it on with nothing in the basket.

Once the bread is soaked and the air fryer is ready spray the basket with non-stick cooking spray. Then place the toast in the basket, make sure the slices are not touching, I like to work 2 slices at a time, even though the basket could fit 3 maybe 4, its easier to flip them and make sure they cook evenly all the way around if they have some room. This may vary air fryer to air fryer.

Air fry the toast for 3-4 minutes on one side and then flip for 3-4 minutes on the other. While the toast is frying, melt the butter in a small, shallow bowl and combine the cinnamon and sugar in another bowl. As soon as the toast is done, dip it immediately into the melted butter to coat completely. Transfer to the cinnamon sugar mixture and toss it around until it is completely coated in cinnamon sugar. Repeat this process with the other slices of toast.

How to serve Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar French Toast

Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar French Toast could really stand on it’s own and that is saying a lot coming from me – the condiment queen. It’s dipped in butter and coated in cinnamon sugar giving it a sweet, buttery exterior that you could easily enjoy on it’s own. If you are looking to jazz it up a bit, some topping suggestions are:

fresh berries

maple syrup

whipped cream
