Family Christmas Trees

Merry Christmas Eve!

I hope you are all getting ready to enjoy time with family and friends over the next few days!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up was going out to the farm and cutting down our family tree. I was/am very opinionated about the tree choice. I went through phases though, there was a time when I felt bad for the barren “Charlie-Brown” trees because they wouldn’t have a home for Christmas… Then I did a 180 and decided I needed to have the biggest tree on the farm. Since moving to DC I have not been home in time to go on the annual tree-cutting outing, which is something I miss very much. Here are some of our family tress through the years:

Our tree this year is probably the smallest we have ever had – tune in tomorrow for a picture!
