How to make Easy Pumpkin Dog Treats

It’s so easy! Start by mixing together the pumpkin, peanut butter and eggs, then work in the flour until a ball of dough is formed. Roll the dough ball out into a single layer about a quarter inch thick. Your dough may be sticky once you roll it out so you definitely want to make sure you are working on a floured surface.

Cut the dough into dog treats. I use this cookie cutter to make them shaped like dog bones. But you can use whatever cookie cutter you have handy – your furry friend will not much care how their treats are shaped šŸ™‚

Lay the cut out treats on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. You can space them pretty close together because they do not spread when they bake!

How Long will the treats stay fresh?

The treats stay best when refrigerated, they will only keep a few days if not. In the refrigerator, in an airtight container they will keep about 5-7 days. My suggestion is that you keep them in the freezer for lasting freshness and take a few out at a time for your pup to enjoy within 48 hours.

I love your healthy treats for dogs! I am starting to make these since seeing what came out of my Milk Bones! I would love to email you the picture! Bugs!!!! I read on their site that some ingredients come from other countries. So I want to know what I am feeding mine. They are my kids, I can’t risk anything! Thank you so much for you ideas! I am just going to swap out milk bones for your recipes with home made ones!

    • Hi Sarah! Yes, Layla is totally our child and I am always trying to do what is best for her! It’s hard to always make homemade, but when I can I love treating her to some! I hope your pups will enjoy them šŸ™‚
