This Build-Your-Own Nacho Bar will be the star of your party for sure! It is today’s Fiesta Friday recipe! A Build-Your-Own Nacho Bar will be the hit of any party, any time of year! I first made it for a Christmas Party we had back in December and our guests couldn’t get enough. It’s delicious food and a fun activity all packed into one!

Get ALL THE TOPPINGS! The more the merrier in my book! Tomatoes, black olives, black beans, ground meat, jalapeños, shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and shredded cheese were my toppings of choice, but the sky is really the limit on what you can choose.

You will want to choose a high quality tortilla chip that is pretty thick. Thinner chips will get soggy and not be able to hold up all of the yummy toppings! I used the chips you can get at some grocery stores that they make in-house, you can sometimes find them near the bakery.

If you want to take your nacho bar up a notch, you can find similar nacho trays on Amazon or probably at your local party store.

I have an issue with orange cheese sauce, unless it’s on macaroni & cheese it really grosses me out. Nachos are 10 times better in my book if they are made with a white queso sauce. This slow cooker queso is made with just 2 types of cheese – cream cheese and American cheese. American might seem like a strange choice for a queso, but it just melts so perfectly there isn’t a better choice. Add some sour cream, green chilis and spices and boom, it’s queso! The cheese sauce takes about 2.5 hours on low in the slow cooker. Everything else can be prepped ahead and put into serving bowls right before guests arrive.
