Strawberries and Cream Pupcake – because dogs are people too and they deserve to be celebrated! This cake is made with strawberries, coconut oil, honey, whole wheat flour and almond milk. It’s topped with a strawberry greek yogurt frosting and surrounded in peanut butter and dog biscuits – basically heaven for a dog!
Our vizsla Layla turned 3 yesterday! 21 in dog years… WAHHH?! Stop growing up so fast!
You may look at this pupcake and think “wow, what a spoiled dog” and you are 100% correct. She is a very spoiled, very loved dog that sleeps in our bed under the covers and thinks she’s entitled to a lick of whatever it is we are eating 100% of the time.
we just love her so much, we can’t help but spoil the crap out of her 🙂
Layla loves unconditionally, she’s my number 1 running partner and she’s always down for a nap! Couldn’t ask for a better friend than that!
To celebrate the big 3 I made her this Strawberries and Cream Pupcake (check out her peanut butter banana pupcake from last year). It’s made with strawberries, coconut oil, honey, whole wheat flour and almond milk. I chose strawberries because they are supposed to be good for strengthening dog’s immune systems! And the coconut oil is great for their coats!
She was supposed to split the cake with her boyfriend, but turns out she was not as interested in sharing this year! She’s never been aggressive with food, but when they got down to the last big chunk of cake she took it and gobbled it up all for herself! It’s like she knew it was HER cake and she was going to have the last of it! Luckily, her boyfriend, Nugget, is not aggressive in the slightest and happily allowed her to have the cake in exchange for some extra kisses!
In her defense she did wait quite patiently for that cake!
