Eggnog French Toast

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is in 3 days! Can you believe it!? Even now, as an adult, Christmas morning is by far my favorite. Staying in your PJs, listening to Christmas music, drinking coffee and opening presents followed by a delicious breakfast, doesn’t get much better! In case you are still looking for something to make on Christmas morning I have just the thing, Eggnog French Toast! You can even use leftover eggnog from your Christmas Eve festivities πŸ™‚

This year I decided we were going to have a mini-Christmas a week early. This past Sunday Walter and I (and Layla of course) exchanged stockings at our house since we are up at my parent’s in CT for Christmas and I made this Eggnog French Toast for breakfast πŸ™‚

I used this Homemade Eggnog recipe from Ashlee Mariethis was my first time making eggnog and I found her video so helpful! The eggnog turned out great and was delicious to sip on while prepping the french toast.

The french toast is really simple! You only need a few ingredients – eggs, eggnog, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and bread! Whisk all the ingredients together, dip the sliced bread and fry it on both sides in a pan or on an electric skillet.
